Court Ready Online provides court-ordered classes and the certificates that prove you finished them. This page explains what we collect, why, and who can see it.
What we collect
- Account: your legal name, date of birth, email, password (stored only as a secure hash, never readable), and optionally a phone number and case number.
- Your case: state, county, court, courthouse, case number, and optionally your attorney's or probation officer's email.
- Course activity: time spent in each lesson, attention check-ins, quiz and test answers and scores, written reflections, and the date and internet address (IP) when you sign the completion statement.
- Payment: handled by our payment processor, Stripe. We do not see or store your full card number.
Why we use it
- To run your class and credit only the time you actually spend.
- To issue your certificate and let courts, probation officers and attorneys verify it.
- To prevent cheating and keep a record that shows how each certificate was earned.
- To answer your questions and handle refunds.
We do not sell your information and we do not use it for advertising.
Who can see it
- Courts and officers verifying a certificate see what the certificate shows: your name, course, hours, dates, court, the last 4 digits of your case number, and the facilitator. Your date of birth appears only if you chose to print it.
- Your assigned facilitator and our staff can see your course records to support you and to stand behind your certificate.
- Service providers who run the site for us: Cloudflare (hosting and data storage) and Stripe (payments).
- Anyone else only if the law requires it, for example a valid court order.
Cookies
Our site sets one cookie to keep you signed in and one to remember your language. Our hosting provider may set its own security cookies to protect the site. We do not use advertising cookies.
How long we keep it
We keep your records for as long as needed to verify your certificate and to meet our legal obligations, because a court may check a certificate long after you finish.
Your choices
To ask to see, correct or delete your information, email support@courtreadyonline.com. You can ask to see or correct your information, or ask us to delete it. Records tied to an issued certificate may need to be kept so the certificate can still be verified; we will tell you if that applies.
